Ivan Leonidovich Lubennikov - People's Artist of the Russian Federation. Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, laureate of the Russian Government, Commander of the Order of Friendship, Professor MGAHI. Surikov was born on May 14, 1951 in Minsk. He studied at the Moscow Art School (1963-70). He graduated from Moscow State Art Institute. VI Surikov class monumental painting (studio K.A.Tutevol). His works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the State Russian Museum, the Museum of the Academy of Arts in St.-Petersburg, Peter Ludwig Museum in Cologne, Henri Nannen, Adam Ogg (Paris), Alan Roger (Paris), museums and private collections in the United States, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland, Japan and Australia.
